Η Mercedes ανακαλεί την AMG GT S

H Mercedes αναγκάστηκε να προχωρήσει στην ανάκληση της AMG GT S λόγω προβλήματος στον carbon άξονα μετάδοσης. Η Mercedes γνωρίζει τρεις περιπτώσεις παγκοσμίως (Η.Π.Α, Σαουδική Αραβία και Ιαπωνία), με τους ιδιοκτήτες να δηλώνουν πως παρατήρησαν δυσλειτουργίες στο σύστημα μετάδοσης, παράξενους ήχους και προειδοποιητικές

Τελικά όπως αποδείχτηκε, τα αυτοκίνητα είχαν πρόβλημα στην φλάντζα ανάμεσα στον carbon άξονα μετάδοσης και στο κιβώτιο ταχυτήτων. Η ανάκληση αφορά τις AMG GT S παραγωγής 1 Ιουνίου 2015 και 24 Ιουλίου 2015, με την Mercedes να δηλώνει πως ο μη επαρκής καθαρισμός των επιφανειών συγκόλλησης της φλάντζας με τον άξονα μετάδοσης, πριν από την τοποθέτηση της κόλλας, θα μπορούσε να οδηγήσει σε μη σωστή συγκόλληση, κάτι που θα είχε ως αποτέλεσμα την απώλεια σύνδεσης μεταξύ άξονα μετάδοσης και κινητήρα.

DetailsManufacturer: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC.SUMMARY:Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain model year 2016 AMG GT S vehicles manufactured June 1, 2015 to July 24, 2015. In affected vehicles, the adhesive bond between the carbon-fiber driveshaft and the rear flange may fail, and as a result, there may be a loss of torque to the rear wheels.CONSEQUENCE:If the adhesive bond fails and results in a loss of torque to the rear wheels, the vehicle operator may be unable to move the vehicle, or may experience deceleration if the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.REMEDY:MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the carbon-fiber driveshaft, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in June 2016. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
