Η Lamborghini και η Bentley ανακαλούν μοντέλα τους με carbon-κεραμικά φρένα

Η NHTSA, λόγω ενός προβλήματος που εντόπισε που αφορά τα carbon-κεραμικά φρένα των μοντέλων της Lamborghini και της Bentley, ανακοίνωσε πως ανακαλεί τις 2007-2009 Lamborghini Gallardo coupe και Spyder, 2006-2010 Murcielago coupe και Roadsters και 2007-2011 Bentley Continental GT, GTC και Flying Spurs.

Το πρόβλημα είναι το ίδιο που οδήγησε στην ανάκληση των μοντέλων της Lamborghini και στον Καναδά και εντοπίζεται στις ανοξείδωτες βίδες στερέωσης των δίσκων οι οποίες μπορούν να διαβρωθούν ή ακόμη και να σπάσουν, όταν εκτίθενται σε αλμυρές συνθήκες. Αυτό θα μπορούσε να οδηγήσει σε μειωμένη απόδοση του συστήματος της πέδησης, η οποία θα μπορούσε να αυξήσει τις αποστάσεις ακινητοποίησης και να αυξήσει τον κίνδυνο μιας σύγκρουσης.

Η ανάκληση αφορά 1.136 αυτοκίνητα στις Η.Π.A (263 Gallado, 404 Murcielago και 469 Continental), με την Lamborghini και την Bentley να αντικαθιστούν δωρεάν τις συγκεκριμένες βίδες με νέες.

REMEDY:Lamborghini will notify owners, and dealers will replace the screws, free of charge. The safety recall is planned to begin by November 2013. Owners may contact Lamborghini at 1-866-681-6276. The manufacturer’s numbers for this campaign are L71X-R.01.13 (model year 2007 and 2008 Gallardo Coupe and Spyder) and L71X-R.02.13 (model year 2009 Gallardo Coupe and Spyder).

In the affected vehicles, the stainless steel screws that secure the brake rotors may fail after being exposed to salty conditions.

CONSEQUENCE:Failure of the securing screws may result in a reduction of braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:Bentley will notify owners, and dealers will replace the screws, free of charge. The safety recall is planned to begin in early November 2013. Owners may contact Bentley at 1-800-777-6923. Bentley’s number for this campaign is RE13/14.
