Η BAC παρουσίασε το Mono Marine Edition, αξίας €700.000, για όσους έχουν υπερπολυτελή yachts

Δεν το κρύβω ότι το BAC Mono είναι το πιο εντυπωσιακό αυτοκίνητο που έχω οδηγήσει και αυτό που θα αγόραζα αν είναι τα λεφτά. Μιλώντας για αυτά, εκ των πραγμάτων είναι ακριβό γιατί η βρετανική εταιρία ζητάει τουλάχιστον 130.000 ευρώ για το πιο διασκεδαστικό παιχνίδι που μπορείς να αγοράσεις. Όμως, η Briggs Automotive Company έχει βλέπεις και για ακόμα πιο μεγάλα πορτοφόλια, γι’αυτό και παρουσίασε την ειδική έκδοση Marine Edition.

Αρχίζοντας από το ποσό, για να το κάνεις δικό σου πρέπει να αποχωριστείς περίπου

690.000 ευρώ. Τι παίρνεις με αυτά τα λεφτά…Καταρχήν ένα carbon γερανάκι και τον γάντζο, που επιτρέπουν να φορτώσεις/ξεφορτώσεις από το πολυτελές superyacht σου, και μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί με όλα τα ανυψωτικά συστήματα των σκαφών.

Το σασί του αυτοκινήτου έχει αναπτυχθεί με το γερανάκι στο μυαλό, καθώς διαθέτει custom σημεία ανύψωσης και μπορεί να τοποθετηθεί/δεθεί σε οποιοδήποτε σημείο, ακόμα και στα ελικοδρόμια των yacht, καθιστώντας το απόλυτα ασφαλής όσο είσαι εν πλω. Επιπλέον, το νέο BAC Mono Marine Edition διαθέτει ειδικά αντιδιαβρωτικά μέρη, κάτι που εξασφαλίζει την προστασία από τις αλμυρές συνθήκες.

Μηχανικά, το απόλυτο street-legal track-day μονοθέσιο διαθέτει τον νέο κινητήρα, που ανακοίνωσε η εταιρία το καλοκαίρι και είναι ένας νέος 2.5-λίτρων τετρακύλινδρος κινητήρας της Mountune που αποδίδει 305 άλογα. Τα 0-96 χλμ/ώρα έρχονται σε 2,8 δευτ., ενώ η τελική του ταχύτητα φτάνει τα 273 χλμ/ώρα. Εκτός από τον νέο κινητήρα, το νέο Mono εξοπλίζεται και με drive-by-wire γκάζι, ενώ το τιμόνι και το κάθισμα κατασκευάζονται σύμφωνα με τα χαρακτηριστικά του κάθε πελάτη.

BAC unveils its latest iteration of the popular Mono – The Marine Edition. Built on a passion for luxury and exclusivity, BAC has created a Mono that is at home aboard any super-yacht.

Weighing in at only 580kg, the Mono is ideally suited to the super-yacht environment where lean mass, performance and design are paramount.

Based on the Model Year 2016 Mono, the 305bhp 2.5-litre Mountune-powered single-seater car has been custom-made by the top tier luxury British carmaker, BAC. The car, which is completely customisable inside and out, has been created with a focus on luxury marine lifestyle.

The Marine Edition comes complete with a carbon-fibre crane arm designed to transport the Mono on top of any super-yacht, the crane arm can be universally used with all yacht crane systems.

The chassis has been developed with the crane arm in mind too, with custom chassis lifting points for super-yacht crane cradles and mounting to helipads, making sure that the Mono is secure whilst on board.

To ensure that the Marine Edition is kept protected in the salty climates, BAC has developed an anti-corrosive coating for components. BAC will deliver the car with an Environmental Control Container System to stow the car on board with temperature and humidity controls, guarding the car from the marine environment.

Costing £500,000, the Marine Edition is completely bespoke and built to order, reflecting a wider momentum within the BAC brand. With a new dedicated factory in Liverpool, BAC are able to produce four cars per month to compete with strong demand from customers in the US, Europe, South America and Asia at its current capacity.
