H Nissan ανακαλεί στην Αμερική 46.859 Leaf, τα οποία κατασκευάστηκαν μεταξύ 19 Νοεμβρίου 2012 και 31 Ιουλίου 2015, εξαιτίας του ρελέ στο εσωτερικό της ηλεκτρονικής υποβοήθησης φρένων, το οποίο μπορεί να παγώσει και να μην λειτουργήσει σωστά, αναγκάζοντας τον οδηγό να εφαρμόσει περισσότερη δύναμη ώστε να επιβραδύνει το όχημα.

Μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχουν αναφερθεί τραυματισμοί ή θάνατοι, με την λύση

να έρχεται απλά με έναν επαναπρογραμματισμό του μονάδας ελέγχου του φρεναρίσματος.

SUMMARY:Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 LEAF vehicles manufactured November 19, 2012, to July 31, 2015. During very cold temperatures, the relay inside the electronic brake booster may freeze, requiring the driver to exert more effort to slow the vehicle down.

CONSEQUENCE:If the brake relay fails, longer distances or additional brake effort would be required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the Intelligent Brake Control Unit software, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
