Gray Design Sidewinder, ή αλλιώς το τέρας της ερήμου

Η Gray Design έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα νέες φωτογραφίες και λεπτομέρειες σχετικά με τη νέα δημιουργία της, που ονομάζεται Sidewinder, και είναι ένα high-end buggy της ερήμου.

Το αυτοκίνητο αποτελεί μια σχεδιαστική άσκηση της Gray Design, και είναι αποτέλεσμα του Eduard Gray. Αν και το Sidewinder δεν θα βγει στη παραγωγή, έχει ένα υψηλής τεχνολογίας σασί, εμπρός και πίσω μπράτσα από χάλυβα

chromoly, αντιστρεπτικές και στους δύο άξονες, καθώς και αμορτισέρ 3.0 KING. Μηχανικά, εξοπλίζεται με έναν big block LSX Bowtie κινητήρα, απόδοσης 630 ίππων στις 6.400 σ.α.λ. και 600 Nm στις 5.400, που είναι ικανά να επιταχύνουν το όχημα από τα 0-96 χλμ/ώρα 4,2 δευτ., με την τελική του ταχύτητα να φτάνει τα 150 χλμ/ώρα. Στο εσωτερικό, το Sidewinder διαθέτει OLED οθόνες από την Swedspot που “τρέχουν” Android, όπως και το infotainment σύστημα.

SAND BASHERThe Sidewinder is designed to enjoy the hobby of sand dune racing in luxury and style. Whether it’s in the Middle East or the US, the Sidewinder is the perfect vehicle to take you from dune to dune in comfort whilst the high tech chassis will keep the car level and the handling fun. Powered by an LSX Bowtie big block engine, the car develops 600hp and can reach a top speed of 150kph on sand. The robust suspension features front and rear boxed chromoly arms, front and rear anti-sway bars and 3.0 KING bypass shock absorbers.

SWEDSPOTInside the Sidewinder, the driver is surrounded by a full array of matching OLED infotainment and display screens, designed by Eduard Gray and delivered by Swedspot. The Swedish based company provides an open, Android-based platform for the vehicle which enables developers all over the world to fine tune the optimal user experience. Their carefully selected automotive adaptions of Android keep the strengths of the Android ecosystem with the software developer kit (SDK) while adding unique vehicle extensions. A standardized Vehicle Application Programming Interface (API) provides a leading-edge access to data from the sensors and signals of the vehicle.
