Audi RS3 by B&B Automobiltechnik με 550 άλογα

Για κάποιους, τα 367 άλογα και τα 465 Nm ροπής που αποδίδει σε εργοστασιακή μορφή ο υπερτροφοδοτούμενος πεντακύλινδρος των 2.5 λίτρων του Audi RS3 απλά δεν είναι αρκετά. Γι’ αυτούς όμως, υπάρχουν οι βελτιωτές, όπως η Oettinger που είδαμε τι μπορεί να κάνει πριν από λίγο καιρό και η B&B Automobiltechnik που μόλις παρουσίασε την δική της πρόταση.

Ο Γερμανικός βελτιωτικός οίκος, προσφέρει 4 διαφορετικά επίπεδα βελτίωσης. Το πρώτο στάδιο που περιλαμβάνει μόνο έναν απλό επαναπρογραμματισμό

της εργοστασιακής ECU και κοστίζει €1.950, ανεβάζει την ιπποδύναμη στα 430 άλογα και την ροπή στα 620 Nm. Στο δεύτερο στάδιο με κόστος €2.950, αναβαθμίζεται και η εισαγωγή με αποτέλεσμα η ιπποδύναμη να αυξάνεται στα 450 άλογα και η ροπή στα 655 Nm. Το τρίτο στάδιο, περιλαμβάνει επιπλέον του δευτέρου μεγαλύτερο intercooler και νέα εξάτμιση. Κοστίζει €7.950 και κάνει το RS3 να αποδίδει 485 άλογα και 700 Nm ροπής.

Για να φτάσει το καυτό Audi να αποδίδει 550 άλογα και 750 Nm ροπής, ο πελάτης πρέπει να επιλέξει το τέταρτο και κορυφαίο στάδιο και να αποχωριστεί €17.950. Η B&B Automobiltechnik θα αναβαθμίσει το turbo, θα τοποθετήσει πιο ελεύθερους, μεταλλικούς καταλύτες, νέα αντλία καυσίμου και νέο σύστημα ψύξης λαδιού. Όλα αυτά, επιπλέον του τρίτου σταδίου φυσικά. Με βελτιωμένο τον κινητήρα –και το κιβώτιο ταχυτήτων διπλού συμπλέκτη- το Audi RS3 της B&B Automobiltechnik πιάνει τα 100 km/h από στάση σε 3.3 δευτερόλεπτα, έναντι των 4.3 που απαιτεί το εργοστασιακό, ενώ το 0-200 km/h ολοκληρώνεται σε 11.8 δευτερόλεπτα – 4.3 δευτερόλεπτα ταχύτερα από το stock. Τέλος, αφαιρείται ο κόφτης των 250 ή 280 km/h και έτσι το βελτιωμένο RS3 μπορεί να κινηθεί με ταχύτητες της τάξης των 300+ km/h.

B&B Automobiltechnik: Up to 550 hp and 750 Nm from the Audi RS3 8VWith more than 30 years of experience tuning premium cars behind them, theengineers at B&B Automobiltechnik from Siegen have completed theirperformance upgrade programme for the Audi RS3 8V.In standard form, the RS3 8V boasts 367 hp and 465 Nm of torque from itsmultiple award winning 2.5 litre TFSI five-cylinder engine. Over four stages oftune, B&B increase the output of this charismatic motor to an all time high of 550hp, with 750 Nm of torque.The 0-100 km/h sprint drops from the standard 4.3 sec to a supercar baiting 3.3sec, while the 0-200 km/h time is dramatically slashed from 16.1 sec to just 11.8sec. And as part of the ECU remap, the normal 250 km/h or optional 280 km/htop speed limiter is removed, allowing the B&B Stage 4 RS3 to exceed 300 km/h.The B&B performance upgrade programme begins with Stage 1 (1,950 euro),which sees a remap of the fuel and ignition curves, and an increase in boostpressure of 0.2 bar to achieve 430 hp and 620 Nm.Stage 2, with 450 hp and 655 Nm (2,950 euro), is attained through theoptimisation of the air intake system in conjunction with an appropriate fuel,ignition remap, and a boost pressure increase of around 0.25 bar over stock.The Stage 3 conversion (7,950 euro), achieving 485 hp and 700 Nm,encompasses the Stage 2 air intake mods to which are added an in-house highperformanceintercooler and a free flow sports exhaust system. The ECU is thenremapped to maximise performance.To extract 550 hp and 750 Nm with their Stage 4 conversion (17,950 euro) theB&B engineers swapped out the factory turbocharger for a larger bespoke unit.This is matched with a race exhaust system with free flow metal catalysts, alongwith a high-pressure fuel pump, and an uprated oil cooler system. Finally, all theforced air induction paths and the ECU were optimised for the new hardware.All four stages of B&B’s performance upgrades include adaptation of the dualclutchtransmission for the appropriate performance level, along with deletion ofthe factory Vmax limiter.To reduce exhaust back-pressure and exhaust gas temperature, B&B offers abespoke downpipe and sports catalyst (from 1,950 euro). With a larger crosssection and reshaped guide tube, this downpipe greatly improves gas flow,resulting in a power increase of approximately 15 hp / 11 kW.To improve the five-cylinder soundtrack, B&B offers both a sports exhaust (from1,495 euro) as well as a sports exhaust with high-flow catalyst (from 1,950 euro).Additionally, B&B offer a race exhaust system with metal catalytic converter (from3,950 euro). This releases an additional 20 hp / 15 kW while reducing the thermalload on the engine and turbocharger.B&B recommends its thermostatically controlled additional oil cooler system(1,295 euro) for all its engines upgrade stages. This features greater surface areaand significantly increased flow for a reduction in oil temperature of up to 25degrees C, and is part of the Stage 4 upgrade package.To optimise the handling, roadholding and the appearance of the Audi RS3, B&Brecommends their sport spring set (398 euro), which lowers the ride height by 30mm and 20 mm front and respectively.For the keener driver, the B&B/KW V3 fully adjustable coilover suspension (from1,849 euro) features user adjustable ride height as well as individually adjustablebounce and rebound control for the dampers. As a KW Performance Partner B&Bwill fit and align the suspension and corner balance the car as an additionalservice.The latest addition to the B&B RS3 8V upgrade programme is a highperformancebrake system (from 3,995 euro), which significantly improvesstopping performance. The 396 mm vented discs used on the front axle arecompatible with the factory 19-inch Audi RS3 wheels.To fill the wheel arches and give the RS3 a beefier stance, B&B recommend theirB10 style alloy wheels (3,498 euro) in 8.5×20-inch size all round, shod with235/30ZR20 tyres.
