Macron’s post in Greek declares solidarity to Greece and Cyprus over Turkish provocations

The President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron on Thursday evening uploaded a post in Greek at his personal account in Facebook referring to

the current changing geopolitical realities in the Mediterranean Sea, especially Ankara’s provocative actions in Libya and the Aegean Sea off the Greek island of Kastellorizo.

In addition the French President expresses France’s solidarity to Greece and Cyprus for what he calls violation of their soveireign rights by Turkey. Furthermore, the Emmanuel Macron urges the EU to enhance its security policy in the whole Mediterranean Sea, informing the public that he intends to imminently call for a summit of all the countries of the European south.

Last but not least, he stresses out that the EU should defend its sovereignty.
