Ένιωθαν άσχημα με το πρόσωπό τους κι όμως αυτός ο άνθρωπος άλλαξε ολόκληρη τη φιλοσοφία της ζωής τους

Ανθρώπινη ομορφιά σημαίνει αυθεντικότητα και ο φωτογράφος Brock Elbank παίρνοντας αφορμή από αυτό απαθανάτισε με το φωτογραφικό του φακό τα πρόσωπα μικρών και μεγάλων ανθρώπων έτσι όπως ακριβώς είναι, με τις φακίδες και όλα τα σημάδια που ίσως φέρουν.

Ο Brock ετοιμάζει αυτό το πρότζεκτ από το 2015 ενώ πλέον είναι έτοιμος για την έκθεσή του η οποία θα πραγματοποιηθεί στη Σουηδία το Μάιο. Ο φωτογράφος έχει συγκεντρώσει 180 μοναδικά πορτρέτα για το σκοπό αυτό.

Η διοργάνωση αναμένεται πως θα έχει μεγάλη απήχηση ενώ δεν είναι τυχαίο το γεγονός πως περισσότεροι από 6.000 άνθρωποι από ολόκληρο τον κόσμο υπέβαλαν αίτηση για να φωτογραφηθούν από τον Brock. Εκείνος βέβαια εξαρχής είχε αποφασίσει πως στο πρότζεκτ του θα συμμετέχουν μόνο πρόσωπα με φακίδες.

«Οι φακίδες ήταν πάντα για μένα ήταν ένα σημάδι γλυκύτητας και ομορφιάς, παρόλο που οι άνθρωποι που φέρουν τέτοιες στο πρόσωπό τους σχολιάζουν πως ποτέ δεν ένιωθαν άνετα», ανέφερε ο φωτογράφος ενώ συμπλήρωσε πως με αφορμή την έκθεση αυτή πολλοί άνθρωποι με φακίδες του έστειλαν μήνυμα και του εξήγησαν πως πλέον νιώθουν καλύτερα με τον εαυτό τους.

Master Denny here was the first #Freckles subject after moving back to London and today I completed an 18 month secret Portrait series for an incredible Skin Charity that will exhibit later this year. We’ve shot 30 subjects from far-a-field as Australia, Brazil, China, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the U.S. So I’ve decided to run a competition for one follower to win a Portrait shot by me later this year... I’m starting to collate the images for my #Freckles exhibition in Sweden from May-October 2018. And here’s literally one of the very first subjects way back from our time living in Sydney. It’s of our neighbours daughter @isabelleobrien__ from 2011 and seems like a lifetime ago now. @ddv_vdv kindly flew over from Trinidad & Tobago last week and what a character! Darcel informed me that she literally lost all her natural pigment. Then three years ago her natural pigment started coming back looking like large freckles.
