Ο Pierpaolo Piccioli παρουσίασε τη Haute Couture συλλογή για τον οίκο Valentinο και ήταν έργο τέχνης

Ο Pierpaolo Piccioli, καλλιτεχνικός διευθυντής του οίκου Valentino έκλεισε την αυλαία της εβδομάδας μόδας Υψηλής Ραπτικής για την σεζόν Φθινόπωρο – Χειμώνας 202ο με ένα σόου που έμοιαζε με έργο τέχνης. Ο creative director του γαλλικού οίκου συνεργάστηκε με τον φωτογράφο μόδας  Nick Knight και μαζί δημιούργησαν μία ταινία μικρού μήκους

με τίτλο «Of Grace and Light» την οποία παρουσίασαν μέσω livestream.

Η ταινία ξεκινά με μία περιήγηση στη Ρώμη με την κάμερα να δείχνει τους δρόμους της ιταλικής πόλης άδειους και να καταλήγει στο γνωστό αξιοθέατο Cinecittà όπου και έγινε η παρουσίαση του σόου.

Κύρια έμπνευση του σχεδιαστή ήταν οι ιταλοί σκηνοθέτες Federico Fellini και Luchino Visconti αλλά και εν γένει τον ιταλικό κινηματογράφο. Στο show συμμετείχε και FKA Twigs με την υπέροχη φωνή της, ενώ τα μοντέλα εμφανίστηκαν να αιωρούνται από το ταβάνι με τις extravagant δημιουργίες του σχεδιαστή.

Η αισθητική των δημιουργιών ήταν άκρως θεατρική, ενώ και ο ρομαντισμός είχε πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο στη συλλογή. Η haute couture συλλογή αποτελούνταν από 16 λευκά φορέματα από τούλι και οργάντζα με λεπτομέρειες όπως φτερά, βολάν, ογκώδη ώμους και κάπες.  Τις εντυπώσεις έκλεψαν και τα τα headpieces. Για τη δημιουργία κάθε ρούχου χρειάστηκαν περίπου 1.500 με 4.000 ώρες.
