Key Government Priorities: Wage Increases, Healthcare Reforms, and Tackling Inflation

In outlining his administration’s goals, Mr. Mitsotakis highlighted wage increases, healthcare reforms, and housing as key priorities.

By 2027, he aims for the average wage in Greece to reach €1,500 and the minimum wage to rise to €950.

He also promised major upgrades to the National Health System (NHS), including

better-equipped health centers and better pay for doctors.

“By 2027, I want to be judged on whether the country has a new NHS worthy of its citizens,” he said.

Additionally, the Prime Minister announced financial support for vulnerable groups, funded by extraordinary taxation on refineries.

Retirees with a combined pension income of up to €1,600 will receive a bonus of €100 to €200, and those on disability benefits will get €200.

He also confirmed a 50% increase in the minimum guaranteed income for December.
