Autopsy Inconclusive in Case of Missing Man Found Dead in Tyrnavos

An autopsy has failed to determine the cause of death of a 39-year-old man who was found dead on a hill in Tyrnavos after being reported missing.

Vassilis Kalogirou was reported missing on February 9th, 2025. His body was discovered on February 17th in an olive grove on a hill near the village of Tyrnavos. Initial findings suggest Kalogurou died a few days after his disappearance, but the exact circumstances remain unclear.

Authorities are awaiting the results of toxicological and histopathological tests to determine whether his death was the result of an accident, suicide, or homicide.

Kalogirou funeral is scheduled for Wednesday in Larissa.
