Αγάπη μου, συρρίκνωσα το GT86 style Cb. Αυτό είναι το Toyota S-FR concept!

Τον Ιούνιο που μας πέρασε, η Toyota κατοχύρωσε το όνομα S-FR και εμείς, λανθασμένα υποθέσαμε ότι πρόκειται για την ονομασία της επόμενης Supra. Τελικά, η Ιαπωνική εταιρία είχε κάτι εντελώς διαφορετικό στο μυαλό της. Ένα μικρό sports car concept για την έκθεση του Τόκιο. Αυτό είναι λοιπόν, το Toyota S-FR concept!

Η ιδέα είναι απλή και δοκιμασμένη. Ένα μικρό, ελαφρύ sports

car με τον κινητήρα εμπρός και την κίνηση πίσω γι’ αυτούς που δεν θέλουν φρου-φρου κι αρώματα. Το Toyota S-FR concept έχει μήκος που δεν ξεπερνά τα 3.99 μέτρα, πλάτος 1.69 και ύψος 1.32 με το μεταξόνιο να είναι στα 2.48 μέτρα. Το εσωτερικό μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει έως και 4 άτομα ενώ ο διάκοσμος είναι στα όρια του “σπαρτιατικού”. Από αυτά που βλέπουμε στις φωτογραφίες, φαίνεται ο ψηφιακός πίνακας οργάνων, δύο USB ports, το start button και λίγα κουμπιά για τον χειρισμό του κλιματισμού, των παραθύρων κ.ά.

Επίσης, φαίνεται ο λεβιές του 6-τάχυτου, μηχανικού κιβωτίου αλλά δυστυχώς, η Toyota δεν μας λέει τι κινεί το S-FR. Το μόνο που αναφέρει, είναι ότι ο κινητήρας παρέχει ομαλή επιτάχυνση που σε συνδυασμό με την ιδανική κατανομή βάρους και την ανεξάρτητη ανάρτηση κάνουν το S-FR ευέλικτο και διασκεδαστικό. Ωστόσο, να θυμίσω ότι λίγο πριν την κατοχύρωση του ονόματος από την Toyota, είχαν κυκλοφορήσει φήμες που έκαναν λόγο για ένα entry-level sports car, κάτω από το GT86 που θα κινείται από έναν 1500άρη κινητήρα με απόδοση 130 ίππων. Φυσικά, δεν γνωρίζουμε αν σκοπεύει η Toyota να περάσει το S-FR στην παραγωγή. Πάντως φαίνεται υπερβολικά συγκρατημένο για ένα πρωτότυπο που δεν θα περάσει στην παραγωγή…
