Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί: Κάρτες ταρό με την υπογραφή του κορυφαίου σουρεαλιστή

Στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1970, ο Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί έκανε τα πρώτα του βήματα στον κόσμο του μυστικισμού, δημιουργώντας ένα πλήρες σετ από κάρτες ταρό, το οποίο επρόκειτο να χρησιμοποιηθεί στην ταινία Τζέιμς Μποντ του 1973, «Ζήσε κι άσε τους άλλους να πεθάνουν» με πρωταγωνιστές τον Ρότζερ Μουρ και την Τζέιν Σέιμουρ.

Οι κάρτες ταρό με την υπογραφή του Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί, μπορεί να μην χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ποτέ στα κινηματογραφικά πλατό του Τζείμς Μποντ, ωστόσο

τώρα, ο εκδοτικός οίκος Taschen Books προχώρησε σε έκδοση του Ταρό του Νταλί.

Η ιστορία των ταρό του Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί

Όλα άρχισαν όταν ο Άλμπερτ Ρ. Μπρόκολι, παραγωγός της 18ης ταινίας Τζέιμς Μποντ, προσέγγισε τον διάσημο σουρεαλιστή ζωγράφο, ζητώντας του να δημιουργήσει ένα ταρό για μια σκηνή στο έργο.

Οι κάρτες θα χρησιμοποιούντο από τη Σολιτέρ (την υποδυόταν η Τζέιν Σέιμουρ), ένα μέντιουμ που ήταν στη δούλεψη, ενός απειλητικού βαρώνου ναρκωτικών.

Ο Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί αποδέχθηκε, πιθανώς ενθαρρυμένος από την Γκαλά, τη σύζυγό του που έτρεφε τέτοιες ανησυχίες.

Η συνεργασία ωστόσο κατέρρευσε, καθώς φήμες ήθελαν τον Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί να ζητά ένα αστρονομικό ποσό, ακόμη και για μια κινηματογραφική παραγωγή με προϋπολογισμό 7 εκατομμύρια δολάρια, όπως ήταν η Τζέιμς Μποντ ταινία, «Ζήσε κι άσε τους άλλους να πεθάνουν» .

Στην ταινία εμφανίστηκε, τελικά, το σετ καρτών ταρό που ετοίμασε ο Φέργκους Χολ, ένας καλλιτέχνης με πιο λογικές απαιτήσεις, αλλά ο Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί συνέχισε να εργάζεται στο δικό του σετ, το οποίο ολοκλήρωσε και πρόσφερε για πώληση το 1984.

Οι κάρτες ταρό συνοδεύονταν από ένα βιβλίο με οδηγίες για τη χρήση των καρτών και περιγραφή της δημιουργίας τους.

Σε μία κάρτα φιγουράρει ο ίδιος ο Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί, σε μία άλλη η Γκαλά, ενώ η ειρωνεία του Νταλί, απέναντι στους στους παραγωγούς του «Ζήσε κι άσε τους άλλους να πεθάνουν», φαίνεται ξεκάθαρα στο πρόσωπο του «Αυτοκράτορα», που δεν είναι άλλος από τον Σον Κόνερι, τον πρώτο -και κατά πολλούς τον καλύτερο – κινηματογραφικό Τζέιμς Μπόντ.

Οι θαυμαστέ του Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί, μπορούν να βρουν στην έκδοση του γερμανικού οίκου εκδόσεων τέχνης, μαζί με ένα επεξηγηματικό μικρό βιβλίο από τον ειδικό του ταρό Γιοχάνες Φίμπιγκ και έναν οδηγό με εξηγήσεις για το τι σημαίνει η κάθε κάρτα και το πώς τις «διαβάζει» κανείς.

The #sixofswords from the #salvadordalitarot deck (one of my absolute favorites) is a serendipitous depiction of my day to come. I am, in fact, going on a journey, in the form of a road trip from London to Bath (and then back again). This journey, however, comes after a day when I barely had the strength to leave the couch (per some ongoing medical issues). I feel more energetic today, but still not top form. On an average day, this journey would be a snap, but given my current condition it could very likely turn stormy and treacherous. So I see this card as a reminder and a warning (it’s very possible I will overdo it); yet, knowing this, I can be prepared. I can go slowly, take breaks when needed, shield myself from the elements — no need to sail headlong into a storm. Be up front about what is too much, and respect what my body is telling me. Stand back from the cold ocean spray. Bundle up.
