Baftas 2017: Οι Βρετανοί δεν άφησαν το «La La Land» να σαρώσει τα βραβεία αυτή τη φορά

Τα Baftas, τα βραβεία της Βρετανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου, παραδόθηκαν για άλλη μια χρονιά χτες το βράδυ στο Λονδίνο, σε μια κλασικά φαντασμαγορική τελετή που συγκέντρωσε όλα τα μεγάλα αστέρια του κινηματογράφου, βάζοντάς μας έτσι στην τελική ευθεία για τα Oscars.

Το «La La Land» μπορεί να μην πέτυχε τη σαρωτική νίκη που αναμενόταν, καθώς έφυγε με 5 Baftas (οι φήμες έλεγαν πως θα καταφέρει να σπάσει το ρεκόρ των 9 Baftas που κρατά από το 1971 το “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”), συμπεριλαμβανομένου και αυτού της Καλύτερης Ταινίας.

Αντ' αυτού, τα βραβεία μοιράστηκαν σε περισσότερες από 15 ταινίες, με τις «Manchester By the Sea», «Lion», «Fences», «Arrival», «Hacksaw Ridge», «Jackie», «Florence Foster Jenkins» να ξεχωρίζουν, ενώ ο Mel Brooks έλαβε το τιμητικό Bafta Fellowship, μπαίνοντας στη θρυλική παρέα των Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen, Sidney Poitier και Helen Mirren που, μεταξύ άλλων, έχουν βραβευθεί με αυτό μέχρι σήμερα.

Ο Ryan Gosling έχασε το Bafta Α' Ανδρικού από τον Casey Affleck για τη συγκλονιστική του ερμηνεία στο «Manchester By the Sea», όπως και ο σκηνοθέτης του «La La Land», Damien Chazelle, το Bafta Καλύτερου Πρωτότυπου Σεναρίου από τον Kenneth Lonergan για την ίδια ταινία. Η Emma Stone έφυγε με το Bafta Α' Γυναικείου, ενώ καλύτερο βρετανικό φιλμ για το 2017 ανακυρήχθηκε το άκρως πολιτικό «I, Daniel Blake» του Ken Loach.
